YEAH Fantasy Football!

YEAH...I know its only week one but what a performance for my team! I was very surprised that I won this week against you Carrol! I thought you had me beat earlier today! Good luck with the rest of your games....I can't believe you did not start Randy Moss....don't get rid of Brandon Jacobs unless he had a season ending injury....AND I told you Carolina's defense would be fine! Poor Tommy....he had Stephen Jackson!!! OH and one last thing....WE TOTALLY DOMINATED this week in terms of points!!! HAHAHA YEAH!!!! :D Hope you don't mind me talking to you like this...I do think your team will be good if Brandon Jacobs and Travis Henry produce for you! That IMHO, is the key to your team's success.

SO does all my football hysteria make sense to you guys?? I know all of you think I am weird!

I KNOW. If I'd started Kitna and Moss, you'd be dead meat. I emailed my cousin (who's a sports cameraman in Boston) and asked what he was hearing about Moss in the middle of the week. He said that the Pats weren't saying much, and he wasn't sure what would happen...so I played the guys who I KNEW would play. And I can't believe I lost Jacobs. Oh well. I'm already planning for next week...

Well, If I had started all the right people, I still would have beaten you! (Starting Ward instead of Colston would have given me enough to overcome Moss and Kitna!!)

Anyways, look how well we did compared to everyone else! The future may bode well for our teams!

On the plus side, in the world of REAL football, Liverpool is looking totally dominant, with a 6-0 thrashing of Derby last week.

Too bad about the Pack, though. Sometimes I'm glad I'm not there to watch the games, as it's not nearly as disappointing to read about it on the internet on a Sunday afternoon.

YOU PEOPLE just need to take a chill pill when it comes to wolfpack football.

Even if our team stinks this year and the next, Tom O'brien had a 4-10 record his first 2 seasons at Boston College before he started getting 8-9 win seasons. And you know something else, this is not too unusual for good coaches taking over a bad program....especially a program with the kind of problems Amato left here. The point is people that O'brien deserves 2 years and not 2 games to determine if he can turn this team around. So just keep your eyes on the future.

I am amazed at all the negativity I am already hearing about the football team. I have even heard, "bring Amato back". Ok, lets look at this statement logically instead of using our emotions for a change. The defense looks just as good as it was last year AFTER we lost several key starters. Odviously, the offense needs improvement but who would you rather have call the plays, Bible or Trestman??? Definately Bible. Therefore, to me the coaching staff now is already better then Amato's staff. Do you think Trestman would have an offense that threw for 325 yards against a solid BC defense??? I don't think so.

And no offense Carrol, but I will never "put a bag on" when it comes to Wolfpack football! I love the pack and therefore will never have a problem talking about them rain or shine. No matter how much it hurts, there is always pack pride!! :D

Anyways...so much for that essay in football craziness!

J - no more contaminating blogs with foolish talk of soccer

Brian - I agree...TOB is the right guy for the job. I was secretly hoping we'd see results sooner, ergo the slight disappointment in losing the home opener to a glorified high school team. HOWEVER - I'll take Bible over Trestman any day. At least we're throwing down the field...and that's progress in my book. I HATE west coast offense.

It has yet to be determined if O'brien is the right man for the job; but, his track record strongly suggests he will get the job done here.

Some of our team weeknesses are some of O'Brien's strengths....such as the offensive and defensive line and quarterback. I actually don't think most people know how many QB's BC has sent to the NFL....St' Pierre (Pitsburg Steelers), Mat Hasselbeck, and probably Matt Ryan just to name a couple!

All this technical talk makes me tired. I'm going to bed.

Hey Martha,

Right now, I am grading papers on how you can calibrate a pressure transducer using a water manometer. See, both pressure transducer and water manometer measure changes in pressure, only the transducer outputs a voltage corresponding to a specific pressure. Therefore, if you use the water manometer to find this specific pressure, you can create a table relating transducer voltage to measured pressure. Then, you can use a curve fit to create a polynomial that best approximates the data in this table, and hence, sucessfully calibrating the pressure transducer!

Oh...and one last thing...I am tired too...but lucky me...I have to grade papers!
