It's 11:30, so I'm going to bed before finding out what happens in the rest of the games, but I have to say you are a lucky punk in Fantasy Football! Steven Jackson is tearing everything up, then he gets hurt, Brian Griese has the worst game of his life, and now Hines Ward has a career day? Ridiculous! I should be crushing you, but instead it looks like I might lose by 40 points. Even Marques Colston is coming back to life this weekend - taking touchdowns away from Reggie Bush, of course.
Oh, well. I guess I can always beat up on Daniel next week. Now just watch - all his players will get hot next weekend too. Oh, wait - his players are terrible!
As I told you last week...my total points are a little deceptive. I finally have my starting players back and they are producing.
Yes, Colston and Ward had great games...but then again, they are the #1 receivers on their teams.
In addition, I picked Colston because he had a good rookie year. In my experience, a player who has a good rookie year has a much better chance of having a very explosive second year then a first round draft pick in his first year. Of course, I could be wrong about that! Carrol and John don't seem to have a problem finding good rookie players!
And as for you starting Griese, there is a reason he was the backup to Grossman. Remember when we talked about how fans kept screaming for Amato to put in Stone after Davis performed poorly??? Well Stone turned out to be just as bad, ie backups are very rarely better then the starting QB.
